She grew up in Spain where she enjoyed the enviable healthy Mediterranean diet and lifestyle. Margarita moved to France several years ago to further her education. With a double competency: Engineer and an MBA, she worked for large multinational corporations, holding senior management roles with global responsibilities. Her career afforded her the opportunity to travel around the world and to experience many different cuisines but she favours the Mediterranean flavours of her sunny childhood.
After working for over 12 years in the corporate world, she decided to follow her passion and focus on nutrition by studying to be a Nutrition & Health Coach at the Irish Institute of Nutrition & Health (IINH). She graduated with merit as a Nutrition & Health coach in the summer of 2016.
Her passion for healthy eating, cooking and photography led her to create her food blog Tasty Mediterraneo http://www.tastymediterraneo.com Margarita is multilingual and she writes in four languages (English, French, Spanish and Arabic). On her blog she shares delicious healthy, simple and affordable vegetarian and vegan recipes with its origins in Mediterranean cuisine.
Her recipes have been featured in numerous publications, including The Huffington Post, Well+Good and TheTaste.ie . She recently became a Gourmet Guru http://pulses.org/recipes/meet-the-gourmet-gurus/604-meet-margarita-ribot for pulses.org representing Spain and Ireland and shared one of her pulse recipes for Global Pulse Day. She is a contributor to the International Year of Pulses 2016 of the FAO of the United Nations and to the Expo Milano 2015 to name a few.
Margarita’s mantra and goal is to enable others to help themselves to have healthy eating and lifestyle habit, in order to avoid many of the chronic diseases and health issues which people suffer from in today’s society.
